Microsoft hat die erste öffentliche Beta-Version des Sim Updates 14 veröffentlicht. Sie steht ab sofort zum Download bereit. Version 1.35.13.0 enthält u. a. einige Verbesserungen der Flugverkehrskontrolle (ATC) sowie Leistungsoptimierungen und Absturzbehebungen. „Geschraubt“ wurde auch an zahlreichen Flugzeugen. Die detaillierten Versionshinweise sind im Flightsimulator-Forum und am Ende dieses Beitrags nachzulesen.
Wichtige Anmerkungen!!!
Die Beta-Version des Sim Updates 14 enthält eine Änderung, die das Problem behebt, dass sich Spieler im Multiplayer-Modus nicht sehen können. Um die Änderung während der Beta effektiv zu testen, hat Microsoft Betatester von den übrigen Benutzern auf verschiedene Server getrennt. Dies bedeutet:
- Spieler, die der Beta-Version 1.35.13.0 beigetreten sind, können ihre Freunde im Mehrspielermodus der aktuellen Version 1.34.16.0 nicht sehen (und umgekehrt). Um Ihre Freunde im Mehrspielermodus zu sehen, sollte sichergestellt sein, dass beide an der Sim Update 14 Beta oder beide an der aktuellen Version teilnehmen.
- Alle Teilnehmer der Sim Update 14 Beta werden mit dem US-Ost-Server verbunden – das ist beabsichtigt. Aus diesem Grund kann es je nach Region zu Latenzproblemen im Mehrspielermodus (z. B. Reno) kommen!
Jeder, der am Test teilnimmt, sollte sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass es sich um eine Beta-Version handelt, also um eine Test-Version, die mitunter zu Problemen führen kann.
Wie kann man am Beta-Test teilnehmen?
Ganz einfach:
- Die Xbox Insider-App starten (falls nicht vorhanden im Microsoft Store nach “Xbox Insider Hub” suchen und installieren)…
- In der App “Vorschauen” öffnen und “Microsoft Flight Simulator – SU14…” anklicken
- Auf die Schaltflächen “Beitreten” und dann “Weiter” klicken.
- Auf Xbox-App klicken. Dort auf “Aktualisieren” drücken…
Mit dem Start des MSFS sollte das Update automatisch angestoßen werden.
Wie kann man wieder aus der Beta aussteigen und zur aktuellen Version zurückkehren?
- Die Xbox Insider-App starten.
- In der App bei “Beigetreten” “Microsoft Flight Simulator – SU14…” anklicken…
- Auf die Schaltfläche „Verwalten“ drücken.
- “Vorschau beenden” drücken.
Einstieg für Steam-Benutzer:
- Steam-Bibliothek öffnen.
- Rechtsklick auf Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Auf “Eigenschaften” klicken.
- Auf “Betas” klicken.
- “flight_sim_beta – Sim Update 14” wählen.
Ausstieg für Steam-Benutzer:
- Steam-Bibliothek öffnen.
- Rechtsklick auf Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Auf “Eigenschaften” klicken.

- ATC Vectoring bug fixes:
- Now assigning the correct clearance when the first two waypoints were one over the other.
- Now assigning a new vector & clearance every time the user asks the ATC for a new vector.
- ATC now clears a step to the next altitude some time before arriving at the previously cleared altitude, rather than once arrived at the previously cleared altitude. (Next step is issued when at 2000FT from cleared altitude rather than 250FT from cleared altitude).
- Added flight plan assistance setting for ATC in the user experience assistance settings so that users can request the ATC to favor their flight plan or world map flight settings over the current conditions. This assistance is set to “Active” by default.
- Active: ATC will set the active runway and approach for the departure and arrival airport based on the users flight plan or settings in the world map.
- Deactivated: ATC will set the active runway and approach based on current conditions only.

- Enhanced ATC phraseology. Some of the improvements include:
- The removal of the word ‘for’ in altitude change requests.
- Eliminating the requirement to include altimeter settings in takeoff clearances.
- Fixed an issue where the wind from a malformed METAR was incorrectly read
- Snow and ice coverage accuracy has been improved in live weather
- Fixed an issue where removing an airway entry leg from the flight plan could sometimes corrupt the flight plan.
- Added support for hardware keyboard with new AS1000_CONTROL_PAD_ H events.
